Dear Pen Pal…
Dear Kabelo,
"I Like to hang out with my friends too. Justin Timberlake and Snoop Dogg are popular here in the U.S. as well. I love listening to music and I am going to go to a Taylor Swift concert really soon, which is exciting."
It Takes A Village…
Project Knapsack Education Liaison and friend, Jamal Atkins, working with elementary students from the Jacaranda Basic School in Lusaka, Zambia.
Our literacy program partners elementary and secondary students in the United States, from both public and private schools with pen pals in Africa. Project Knapsack pen pals on the developing side of the exchange each receive brand new back packs filled with school supplies. We target schools in the developing world that have eager students and wonderful teachers but lack the educational resources needed to give students a more than adequate opportunity to excel in the classroom.
